Ever since my dear friend and colleague Leigh B., Mom Since 1996 (MS’96), told me her son, Joshua, had leukemia, I have followed her absolutely beautiful online journal she shares with family & friends through Caring Bridge, celebrating the victories whether small or big, and crying through the obstacles and unbelievable road this family has traveled.  What has impressed me the most is not Leigh’s incredible research skills that fuel her mission to make her son healthy again, but the spirit that comes through every word, every emotion.

Leigh shared this video that was produced last week at the pediatric oncology ward at Johns Hopkins, and it is truly, beyond words, beautiful.  To see kids fighting cancer with smiles on their faces is so inspiring and gives such perspective on life.  It’s just beyond words, and I had to share here…

Joshua, 12, is playing the piano and watching his friend solve the Rubix cube, and as we’ve watched his journey, we are so inspired by his bravery, his strength, and now, his beautiful smile and positive spirit, the whole world can see too!
