Many thanks to Lisa Steinke for featuring one of my ideas in her “Make a 2013 To-Do List” article in allParenting. I love lists & charts as you know, and this topic is really timely given the New Year. Who cares if it’s an artificial deadline – it gets me thinking about being more organized and about setting some short- and long-term goals both professionally and personally for 2013. Like Lisa says in her article, “There’s nothing like the blissful feeling of having a clean slate.” She has some great tips that get you in the mindset, help you to keep it simple & realistic, and offers several approaches to getting that list done. I met a “new to the scene” Mom Blogger on Twitter recently – Yauzzle is a new website with great information and resources for teen parents. The founder included me in her first “It’s Me” feature, with a look back a few years (ahem) at my “14-Year-Old Self.” The picture alone is a little scary, I’ll admit – some seriously dated fashion and maybe pre-braces teeth – but I enjoyed sharing some comparisons between my teenage years and that of my kids. You never know what “mom biz” is happening on the baseball sidelines, but I “re-met” an old friend I’d enjoyed countless coffees with while our kids were bouncing around a playroom as toddlers, and we both thoroughly enjoyed catching up and sharing mom blogging stories. I share more than mom blogging with Robyn – we are each also the moms of 3 boys. Her blog, “Adventures in Laughter,” is all about “sharing laughter from my day to hopefully bring a smile to your day.” Robyn is really, really funny, has brought me to happy hysterical laughing tears multiple times, and I can’t think of a better fit for her personality than to write stories that make people laugh! She recently published A List of Blogs to Share, with more than 52 blogs she found, including mine (#25) – talk about sharing link love! Here’s the link
